Frequently Asked Questions
What is ‘The Solana Bridge’?
Welcome to The Solana Bridge, powered by Mayan Finance. The purpose of this website is to serve as a bridging frontend for anyone bridging to and from Solana, leveraging Wormhole's liquidity and security.
How does this bridge work?
The Solana Bridge uses Mayan Finance SDKs, enabling a better bridging experience while leveraging Wormhole. This way, you get all the security and liquidity of Wormhole, with a much smoother user experience.
Does ‘The Solana Bridge’ provide the best rates?
In most cases, yes! However, the bridging fees depend on various factors. Hence, we recommend checking various ecosystem bridging frontends (mentioned on the homepage as well) before transferring your funds.
What is Gas on Destination?
The "Gas on destination” enables users to pay an additional fee on the source chain to request a small amount of native gas on the destination chain. For example, a user bridging USDC from Ethereum to Solana can pay a fee denominated in USDC from their sending wallet to receive some native SOL in their receiving wallet in addition to the USDC they are bridging over.
